COMMUNITY OFFERING
Bee Club: The Social Art of Beecoming – Save the honeybee, save the world!
The best way to save the honeybee is to learn about and appreciate her. We
do this throughout the year with an array of artistic and social experiences,
practical work, and studies. You need not fear, you can join whether or not
you wish to work in the hives. We will be busy workers regardless. Drones
and Queens are welcome too! $5 per session donation is suggested. Fee
helps pay for materials and support of apiary.
Working in the apiary is seasonal - please confirm program schedule and
your registration in advance.
Anthroposophy Study Group
Mondays 1:30 – 3pm
An ongoing study group reading and discussing selected works by Rudolf
Steiner or other writers exploring aspects of Anthroposophy.
Community Bread Baking
Bring a loaf of bread to bake in our outdoor wood-firing bread oven. We
have a wonderful area for children to grind grain and play outdoors while
we share recipes, sample breads and tell of bread wisdom and stories. New
participants will receive a sourdough starter with instructions for
maintaining it upon request.
Bread Baking Workshops
This workshop will explore the basics of bread baking in theory and
practice. Participants will be introduced to the various grains and to the
history and importance of bread. There will lots of practical information on
making and baking dough. Each person will have an opportunity to make
some sourdough and yeasted bread in our outdoor wood-fired oven.
